Gamer or Collector?
This project demonstrates the human desire to own materials and resources. It also exposes the human nature of codependency on inanimate objects.
In video games, materialistic objects are collected or acquired for various benefits such as superpower, strength, authority, reward, etc. To demonstrate this nature, i.e. a gamer’s desire for material ownership, I created a video narrative (in five parts) by remixing various DOS games that I used to play.
The story concentrates on a gamer's journey, who travels and owns materials in different countries.
The video narrative visualizes General Masoom and her unquenchable greed that leads to her death.
